Pro access and license

Requesting Pro access, activating, renewing and moving a license to another domain.

Requesting access

JustNow Backups Pro and its add-ons (Scheduler, Remote Storage) are provided on request. Fill in the access form:

  • Products: Pro is always included; optionally select Scheduler and Remote Storage.
  • Website you will use it on: the domain the license is for (e.g. example.com).
  • Full name and email: the license is sent to this address.
  • Description: a few sentences about your site and what you will use JustNow for.

After you submit the form you receive a “we received your request” email. We review the request and get back to you.

Approval email and download page

When your request is approved, the email contains:

  • your license key and its expiry date,
  • the products included in the license,
  • a personal download page button (valid for 3 days). The page offers the latest versions of JustNow Backups, JustNow Backups Pro and the add-ons in your license.

Do not share the link; when it is resent, the previous one stops working. If it has expired, reply to the approval email and we will send a new one while your license is valid. Later updates arrive through your WordPress dashboard; you will not need the download page again.

Activation

  1. Make sure the free JustNow Backups and JustNow Backups Pro are installed and active (installation).
  2. Open JustNow Backups → License, paste the key and click Activate.
  3. The status shows Pro active with the expiry date. Pro features are unlocked immediately.
Domain verificationDuring activation the license server briefly checks that the key was really entered on this site. A security plugin that disables the REST API may cause a warning; see the FAQ.

License rules

  • 1 license = 1 domain. The license is bound to the domain where it is first activated. The address with and without www counts as the same.
  • Term: licenses run for at least 1 year; there are no lifetime licenses.
  • Verification: the site checks its license with the server twice a day. If the server is temporarily unreachable, Pro stays active for 7 days.
  • Cloned sites: if a copy of the site is opened on another address, the license does not work there and a “Site address changed” notice appears.
  • Test and local sites: activations on development addresses (e.g. .local, .test, localhost) do not use up the license.

Add-ons

Scheduler and Remote Storage are rights added to your Pro license and expire together with it. When an add-on is added to your license your site learns it within a few minutes; to skip the wait, click Refresh license on the add-on's page. To add an add-on to your license, send the access form again or write to us.

Renewal

Reminders are sent to the license's email address 30 and 7 days before expiry and on the expiry day. Write to us to renew; the new term is added to the current expiry date. Your site learns the new date within minutes; click License → Verify now to see it right away.

If you bought your license in the shop, you can also use Renew on the My Account → JustNow Licenses page.

When the license expires

  • Pro features and add-ons are turned off; the plugin works like the free edition.
  • Your backups are not deleted. You can download and delete existing packages, and download and restore your backups from Remote Storage.
  • Scheduler jobs are not deleted, they just do not run. They continue on schedule after renewal.
  • New version updates stop; security updates continue.

Moving a license to another site

  1. On the old site, click Remove license on the JustNow Backups → License tab. The license is released from that domain.
  2. On the new site, enter the same key and click Activate.

If you can no longer reach the old site (server shut down, domain changed), write to us and we will reset the domain binding.

Migrating the site? After moving the site to its new address with JustNow, simply activate the license again on the new address. If the old address will be shut down, click Remove license there first.
