Troubleshooting and FAQ

Common situations, their causes and how to solve them.

The license will not activate

  • “This license belongs to another domain”: the license is active on another site. Click Remove license there, or ask support to reset the domain binding.
  • “Could not reach the license server”: your server may not be able to make outgoing connections. Use License → Test connection to see why; if a firewall or host restriction is the cause, ask for burasimerkez.com to be allowed.
  • Domain verification warning: a security plugin that disables the REST API, or maintenance mode, can block verification. Allow outside access to the /wp-json/justnow/v1/ path.
  • “Expired”: renew the license.

An add-on says it “must be included in your license”

Your Pro license is active but this add-on is not part of it. If the add-on was just added to your license, click Refresh license on the add-on page. If the problem persists, write to us with the last 4 characters of your license key.

A backup stops halfway or is very slow

  • Do not close the tab while it runs, and keep your computer from going to sleep.
  • Check your disk space; a backup needs about as much free space as the site.
  • Pro Exclude cache folders, other backup plugins' folders and large folders such as node_modules.
  • If another backup or a security scan is running at the same time, wait for it to finish.

A package cannot be uploaded (size)

Browser uploads are limited by your server's PHP upload limit. Copy the large package to the storage folder over FTP/SFTP; it appears when the list is refreshed. Alternatively, ask your host to raise upload_max_filesize and post_max_size.

I cannot log in after a restore

When the database is restored, users and passwords return to the state in the package. Log in with the username and password that were valid when the backup was taken. If you do not remember them, use the Lost your password? link on the login screen.

A moved site redirects to the old address

  • Adapt to this site (address, path and table prefix) must be on during the restore. If it was off, restore again with this option on.
  • Make sure you did not restore wp-config.php.
  • If you use a caching plugin or CDN, clear the cache. Click Save once on Settings → Permalinks.
  • Search for the old address with Search & Replace to catch remaining links.

Scheduled backups do not run

  • Look at the Last background check indicator on the Scheduler page. If it has not updated for a long time, WP-Cron is not running; set up a real cron.
  • Make sure the job is enabled and that the Scheduler is included in your license.
  • If the job history says “Insufficient disk space”, free up space or tighten the retention rule.

The Google Drive connection dropped

  • On the Remote Storage page, click Disconnect, then Connect again.
  • If you removed JustNow's access under your Google account's Security → Third-party access, you need to connect again.
  • If you use your own Google app, check that its publishing status is In production.

No update is shown

Click Check now on the update card of the License tab. New versions require a valid license; if your license has expired, only security updates are shown.

General questions

How many sites can I use a license on?

Each license is used on one domain. Get one license per site; development/test addresses do not use up a license.

Are my backups deleted when my license expires?

No. You can keep downloading and deleting your packages, and downloading and restoring your remote backups.

What information does the plugin send?

Domain, plugin/WordPress/PHP version, language and plan. Email addresses, user data or content are never sent. To turn it off, see Installation notice.

Do my backups go to your server?

No. Backups stay on your site, on your computer, or in the remote storage you choose (S3, Dropbox, Google Drive).

Are multisite installations supported?

Backups and restores to the same address work; however, automatic address adaptation is not supported when moving a multisite network to another address. Try it in a test environment before moving a multisite network.
